new house files | kitchen + dining

Next up in the new house tour..kitchen and dining room..

Lots of white, white appliances, a dishes shelf that will continue to evolve as I find great white pieces to add to it, and a kitchen that I really do just stand in and look around :) So so happy :)

an edesign after | I love this space

Pamela's home is one I could walk right into and continue to live my life just like I do. Her tastes are so similar to mine, and we love the same mix of elements. Her home was an absolute joy to work on.. have a peek at the afters as she is making amazing progress adding the finishing details-

( that is so a part of e design I love so much..once you have all the elements that we've talked about and have been added virtually to your space, you purchase and add them as you can and as budget allows! )

Pamela's front room is right off her entry and is a little more of a formal sitting room-

ahh I love this SO much-

She was lacking a defined entry so we added a narrow console to act as a spot to pop your keys and mail, and it plays into the living room so wonderfully-

by adding two slip covered chairs to her existing dining room furniture added some softness and made it really inviting-

umm, does a kitchen get much better than this?! We added two amazing lamps to flank the sink and wow do they add alot of character and interest to an ( already amazing ) space!

At the opposite end of the house is a family room that is a little more playful, colorful and cozy. Great pillows, monograms, a cozy rug and marble topped table invite the family to hang out, the kids to play and completes such an amazing living space!

a modern farmhouse

this home is absolute perfection. It's casual and pulled together, inviting and livable, charming and neutral ( tee hee ). Modern, country, and a place I would LOVE to visit in person-

marble please

I'm gathering proof for my dear husband, (who spent the whole day today installing our new delta touch faucet and brand new quartz sink that he picked out and surprised me with, thanks honey )that updating our black subway tiles to marble would be a great look. We have creamy white cabinets and black counter tops. Have a look-

What do you think? I loved the black, but after 3 years I'd love just a little update!

light and bright

between the herringbone floors, doors to die for and a light airy open kitchen, I've decided this space is pretty lovely.

If I had to find a sofa that screamed my name, this would be it. Can you hear it calling me?? Honey..did you hear that?! ;)

paint and linger

I love these stencilled steps, I think the girls would get a kick out of counting as they go. Our stairs to the basement are painted and this would be a great detail.

Love this nook, I could linger for hours with a cup of coffee and my laptop :)

open or closed?

Beautiful examples of great open shelving in the kitchen. Definitely one for the open argument. ( No I'm not renovating.. I just love the look, but would probably make myself crazy rearranging pieces all the time! How about you?! )
