warm tones
It's that time of year that our thoughts start to turn to warm and cozy. Mine started when it was still 30 degrees outside. But now that we are actually having forecasts of -2 degrees tonight, you can believe I am changing my way of thinking, dressing + decorating.

great space
vivid colors, extra long console, having what you need at your fingertips [ dog leash, umbrella, rubber boots ]. perfectly fun + cheerful.

ashley's room
bedroom of Ashley Edwards featured in Domino magazine. I know this was published a long time ago but just wanted to refresh a beautiful room. So crisp with it's white and black, eclectic pieces, vintage footstool + mismatched frames. Feels like a breath of fresh air, and a very inspiring room to wake in.

cottage lust
remember my cottage I'm dreaming about one day owning? I am adding this room into the plans. How I would love to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon immersed in this sofa reading a Dorothea Benton Frank novel. sigh.*

todays hint of pink
darn + I love a great foyer. In part, due to never having one of any substance! What a calm and feminine spot to come home to.

ikat + the perfect blue
things I love about this room+ textured wallpaper ( and the color is so perfect! ). ikat pillows.
ceilings..my gosh are they 14 ft high? such a great combination of colors you may not expect to see together. Black & white dhurrie rug, navy w- white piping and the perfect blue walls. The yellow pillow adds unexpected dimension to this lovely sitting room.

merci
Bazaar Blog - Bazaar.com: "Merci, the well-known Parisian boutique, is taking a holiday, Big Apple-style. The hip French store that boasts an eclectic fashion mix, from Stella McCartney to bespoke creations, will join forces with the Gap in a pop-up store that will be open from September 10 to October 4.
The Merci Gap boutique will feature an array of goods: beautiful paper and home products, handmade jewelry and accessories, Gap 'boyfriend' jeans with custom embroidery by Laurence Amelie, limited-edition trenches by French artist Soledad, and a wide range of vintage selections made by Merci specialists.
It will all be housed at 54th Street and 5th Ave in New York (next to the Gap flagship). Best of all? All of the profits will go to various children’s charities and provide work for impoverished youth in Madagascar."

blue belle
I have been hanging onto this photo for ages! I love the updated plate collection. What a fun and graphic display. I think it would be just wonderful to showcase a collection this way, funky bold plates or vintage florals handed down from our grandmothers. A traditional grouping is still so classic also, imagine a wall brought to life with a collection of white platters of different scale and symmetry. Cool. Now where do I have an extra wall...
