page out of an old book

November 2007 Domino. Loved this space, I have alot of similar elements in my home, nail head trim, blue and white ginger jars, white console, trim work on the walls.. so either my style needs an update, or some good things do just last :)

mary, mary

I remember devouring the spread on Mary McDonald years ago in Domino. I wanted a home tucked away on a great street with an interior that I never in a million years would have thought of before. My tastes stayed pretty calm, but damn, I still want that fabulous house tucked back on a fabulous street....

what is it?

dang ( damn! ) these two rooms get me every time I see them. Therese at La Dolfina and Andrea at from my living room have recently posted these images. What is it.. what am I loving so much, and how do I incorporate it into my real life house?

Thanks.

twinned

Linen and nail head headboards, sweet vintage ruffle pillows, draping bed skirts. A blanket at the end to pull up on cool evenings. I am so drawn to the navy accents in this room.

help!

Here's what's on my mind today.
I have stripped back everything that I had on my console and the wall above it. It's time for something new. ( just not sure what yet. ) :)
There are so many purposes I want it to serve, just can't decide on one. Have a look and let me know what you think. Thanks-

( see all those pesky thermostats, humidifier control..door bell.. ugh - why can't builders hide that stuff? )

todays hint of pink

pretty, aren't they?
Feminine, soft and inviting. A closet I would love to dress in and a living space I would like to take a stack of magazines into, sit down and spend the day. Soft pops of gold, creamy white, and a hint of pink. Lovely

great space

admiring this exceptional room ( again! ) It has mastered so many elements without looking over done. Great color, gallery walls, well functioning elements - work space and gathering space. A hint of femininity with a stunning chandelier and pink flowers. It's crisp, bold and oh so inviting.

miss you!

I apologize for the lack of posts over the few days! We have been busy with family visiting ( so much fun ) and I have caught the clean out / organizing bug! Every square inch of this house is getting sorted and all the stuff we no longer use is out! What a great way to start the new year. See you soon. xo

ashley's room

bedroom of Ashley Edwards featured in Domino magazine. I know this was published a long time ago but just wanted to refresh a beautiful room. So crisp with it's white and black, eclectic pieces, vintage footstool + mismatched frames. Feels like a breath of fresh air, and a very inspiring room to wake in.

gallery 2

2 beautiful additions to the last post I did on gallery walls. Love the eclectic mix of pieces, framed + unframed. Gentle hints of color are welcoming and enticing. Inspiring photos.domino

jennas+picks

our homes speak so much to our personal style, and you can see the connection between these two lovely rooms to their creator, jenna lyons+ the creative director for jcrew.

It's a mix of unbelievable style+classic, tailored, something old and something new.
It was this photo [in the Domino book] that inspired me to paint my bathroom black. I love the crispness, against the time worn wood floors.
This is a woman who truly lives the style she embodies. perfect.
