talking food | some of my favorite recipes

We eat gluten free + dairy free in our house.. I used to use strictly g free cookbooks but then realized you can modify any regular recipe to be g free just by using the ingredients you have on hand when you do eat this way :) Pinterest is of course an amazing resource for recipes too and I thought I'd share a few that have been hits around here!

Bacon-basil pesto and chicken pizza was delicious! I used Udi's thin crust pizza shells.. I swear they have made me love pizza again! While we're talking pizza, these are not to be missed either! Potato Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza with dijon vinaigrette.. and Honey drizzled salami pizza.. amazing!

Sometimes a hearty salad is the perfect thing for dinner and this is unreal. I've subbed out the orange peppers for cucumber and pepperoncini's in this Southwestern chopped salad with cilantro dressing and I think I like it even better that way! This heirloom bacon and tomato summer salad is another winner and the leftovers are amazing ( well for both of these salads! ) the next day. This one I like to use as a side. This is an amazing dressing though it takes a little work, Best Dressing. If you like just a regular garden salad, this Balsamic dressing is a MUST!

This gluten free lasagna is the BEST thing I have ever tasted! I switch out all the dairy products for soy cheese and instead of ricotta I mix nutri whip and cream cheese in, in it's place. Good god it's heaven on earth :)

Hope you find some dinner inspiration! I'll post more favorites soon! XO

design philosophy | providing a foundation to grow and alter through the years, I keep the core basic and layer in the current, creating a room that is innately yours. I believe great interiors are not found in one shop. I know you should feel a sense of calm in your space as well as balance, and revel in that gut feeling that it’s the right fit. See Sarah Swanson Design at the top left of this blog for details on getting the room you love through e design!

OMG. That kitchen backsplash- it's EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Must have. Is that your kitchen? Love it.
