get me outside!

Winter. Alberta. September through April so far this year. Oh good lord am I tired of seeing and hearing people complain about the weather here, so I won't do it. I will only say I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER FOR IT TO BE WARM. There.

We are 7 days from moving out of this house. Packing started yesterday..WOO HOO. 7 days and then 3 weeks in between and then MAY 15th is move in day. Less than one month away. So why not start thinking about the mud pit that is our new yard..

One of my favorite ever outdoor combinations is black and green..like this. Concrete, worn wood, fresh green, amazing.

I cannot wait to grow fresh herbs.. outside in the summer and then inside in the winter. I love this crazy big collection-

How great is this underlay system to contain pea gravel so it all doesn't slip away?!

Oh in my dreams would something like that grow here. Sigh.
Sigh.
Sigh.

I will do raised beds this year, I WILL! I don't mean to be sad but it was this exact time last year we were planning our yard makeover for this house with my Dad when he passed away. I was so so devastated we never got to do it together. Well we'll make the new house garden off the plans from this one. Happy + sad. Sorry didn't mean to go there :(

I just start typing.. you never know where it's going to lead.. ;) xx

All this inspiration and more on my GARDEN pinboard!
