I"ve stolen my daughters pillow.. and now I need your say!

You know me. Cream, white, beige, greige, brown, grey. That's it. Lately I have this huge attraction to color and have decided I've lived without it for long enough! I love my greige + neutral base, so now I'm layering in color. Art, flowers, throws, pops here and there. So help me decide.. I took Calleigh's Caitlin Wilson pillow and threw it on the couch. I have to say I'm sort of drawn to getting my own. What do you think? Scroll down to the last picture to see my 'safe' sofa arrangement!

So.. violet yes or no?! ( and it's ok if it's no!! )  x

I hate to say it, but I like the bottom pic! Makes your gorgeous new blanket the focal point instead of the pillow... However I'm also very averse to color!

I am also a white, cream, grey, greige person but....I love the pop of color and I love how the violet brings out your small floral arrangement. I do love a small pop here and there and, the best thing is, at any moment you can pull the pillow off of the sofa and have the wonderful calming room you have in your last photo!!...By the way, where is the grey & white print pillow from? Love the graphic!

Def more visual interest with the pop of violent. Brings out the little posy of flowers too.

I really love both! However, shades of purple are my favorite for accent colors! I have noticed so many new additions to your home this summer!!! Would you ever consider doing a recap of them or perhaps a home tour....I understand if not, as it is your own personal space with your family - I just LOVE your taste, design, & aesthetic! Have a great week!

I love color but I would try a different shade...or one with pattern! Still a pop of color but not as much of a "block of color"

I agree with the above comment - the room could use a pop of colour - it's very dark and masculine with lots of dark greys and black accents - but the violet may not be the right pop with the blanket.
