Here's the great thing about e design.. the owner if this home is in Ontario, I'm in Calgary Alberta. In an afternoon of emails, we were able to find the finishing details for her space (which was lovely to begin with), but didn't feel quite finished and pulled together to her. Here is the living room before..

Here's the direction we decided on..

and the new pieces in place! I love it.. it's fresh crisp and inviting. We tossed the idea of an area rug back and forth, and settled on no rug, for the summer months anyway. The exposed floor feels light and airy!
