a visit to the hospital + a quiet day

We ended up spending the whole evening / night last night at the Childrens Hospital with Lauren. Darn asthma :(
She's doing better today with the help of alot of inhalers and steroids... it's such a relief to see the turnaround. I did end up getting a nap with her today.. and let me just say it was fabulous, and just what we needed!

Since I was home from work with her, I had a chance to flip through some magazines, I read Traditional Home for the first time and have to say while all the content wasn't my taste, there were a few great pieces-

Katie Browns home and shop-

and a renovated Hampton's home, classic and perfect-

xx

Nice that you could both have a nap and then give us the most beautiful entrance inspiration....thanks and have a great weekend.

I am sorry to hear about the hospital stay with asthma, I use to have it bad as a child, the hospital was my second home! Good news is I outgrew it and now am almost asthma free, I wish the same soon for Lauren.

Hope she is doing better and all of y'all get some rest this weekend. I was actually at the DMV yesterday with my first issue of Trad. Home...I LOVED Katie Brown's home (don't you love her country home, too?)

I hope she's feeling better. Poor thing.

Gorgeous images. Love the bike shot against that bright orange wall.

Glad you little sweetie is feeling better. Is it the humidity that bothered her yesterday? It was terribly humid and sticky in Edmonton yesterday. My husband has asthma and weather changes are a trigger for him. I agree with you about Traditional Home. When I read that mag, I am just not 'feelin it'. I don't think I will buy it anymore. Have a great weekend!! Get some rest! Angie xo

I'm liking the looks of Katie Brown's shop...I'm with you though, this magazine is not really my cup of tea.
Have a lovely weekend Sarah!

As someone who has grown up with asthma, I know it is NOT FUN. I'm glad your little one is doing better and here's to a relaxing rest of the weekend!

Hello!
I remember the days with Noah - leaving in the middle of the night for the hospital. I'm happy to report that at 11 his symptoms have really improved. We really haven't had to use the nebulizer in a couple of years. He has a lot of allergies today though. Hopefully your little one will outgrow the really bad asthma as well. His allergist recommends lots of running, activity - to make the lungs stronger!

So sorry that Lauren and you had to go through that! Nothing like a sick child...praying she continues to feel better!

I enjoyed seeing Katie's home in T.H. too...usually not my style either but her article was a bright spot, it stepped away from the normal formal that is usually on their pages.

Wishing you a wonderful and less traumatic week! xo J~

Oh no, the poor little thing. When I was younger my asthma was terrible, and while it's still not great it's a lot better than it was. I highly recommend swimming. When I swim frequently I don't even need my preventatives - it's amazing!

I hope she's feeling better.
