We ended up spending the whole evening / night last night at the Childrens Hospital with Lauren. Darn asthma :(
She's doing better today with the help of alot of inhalers and steroids... it's such a relief to see the turnaround. I did end up getting a nap with her today.. and let me just say it was fabulous, and just what we needed!
Since I was home from work with her, I had a chance to flip through some magazines, I read Traditional Home for the first time and have to say while all the content wasn't my taste, there were a few great pieces-
Katie Browns home and shop-

Glad to hear she is on the mend, my little guy is in the same boat with his asthma and its very scarey.
Nice that you could both have a nap and then give us the most beautiful entrance inspiration....thanks and have a great weekend.
Hope Lauren is feeling so much better. Great pics . . . love that second one.
My heart is with you..it must be awful having a child suffer from asthma. It would terrify me! I'm glad you had a lovely nap together..Have a great weekend..Rachaelxx

Hope she's doing better poor thing.
How scary! So glad to hear she is feeling better and that you are both getting some rest. As to Traditional Home, I can always find a few things of interest there as well. xx
i truly hope lauren is feeling better. hospitals are no fun.
have a great weekend!! xo
I am sorry to hear about the hospital stay with asthma, I use to have it bad as a child, the hospital was my second home! Good news is I outgrew it and now am almost asthma free, I wish the same soon for Lauren.

Sarah, so sorry about the hospital visit! Is there anything more stressful than a sick child? Glad Lauren is feeling better!! I need to get Traditional Home to see the piece on Katie Brown, thanks for the heads up!
Great pictures as I especially love the foyer one. Classic yet very fresh!
Glad to hear she is doing okay! Katie's shop and house are quite delightful! I love the front door of the house!
oh no...so glad she is doing better!! hope you have a wonderful weekend and catch back up on your sleep.
I hope that little Lauren is feeling better soon! Hope you get to catch up on your sleep too :)
Hugs!
Hi. I love that last picture-so light and clean!
Sorry about your daughter. Asthma is no fun. I actually worked at GSK in with asthma products for 8 years (I am a Pharmacist) I hope she is doing better now :) Hopefully those steroids are kicking in.
have a great weekend,
naina
poor girl and mama. Hospital trips are never good. Hope she continues to feel better.
Hope she is doing better and all of y'all get some rest this weekend. I was actually at the DMV yesterday with my first issue of Trad. Home...I LOVED Katie Brown's home (don't you love her country home, too?)
I hope she's feeling better. Poor thing.
Gorgeous images. Love the bike shot against that bright orange wall.
Have a nice weekend!
Glad you little sweetie is feeling better. Is it the humidity that bothered her yesterday? It was terribly humid and sticky in Edmonton yesterday. My husband has asthma and weather changes are a trigger for him. I agree with you about Traditional Home. When I read that mag, I am just not 'feelin it'. I don't think I will buy it anymore. Have a great weekend!! Get some rest! Angie xo
Sorry to hear about you hospital trip but glad she is doing better. I could not imagine...I am jealous of that nap though.
Sarah, so glad Lauren is better. I trust she will recuperate over the weekend and you both will ge all the rest you need....
wow, those are some great shots of KB's place. I gotta get those. And all that white is killing me! Am I a 'white' girl after all???
happy and healthy weekend...
I hope sweet Lauren is feeling herself again soon. Naps are the best, been doing that a lot lately....have a great weekend. T xx
i'm sorry to hear that but glad she's better!
I feel so out of touch! I'm happy to hear Lauren is ok!
I'm liking the looks of Katie Brown's shop...I'm with you though, this magazine is not really my cup of tea.
Have a lovely weekend Sarah!
As someone who has grown up with asthma, I know it is NOT FUN. I'm glad your little one is doing better and here's to a relaxing rest of the weekend!
Hello!
I remember the days with Noah - leaving in the middle of the night for the hospital. I'm happy to report that at 11 his symptoms have really improved. We really haven't had to use the nebulizer in a couple of years. He has a lot of allergies today though. Hopefully your little one will outgrow the really bad asthma as well. His allergist recommends lots of running, activity - to make the lungs stronger!
So sorry that Lauren and you had to go through that! Nothing like a sick child...praying she continues to feel better!
I enjoyed seeing Katie's home in T.H. too...usually not my style either but her article was a bright spot, it stepped away from the normal formal that is usually on their pages.
Wishing you a wonderful and less traumatic week! xo J~
I hope Lauren is feeling much better by now, poor thing!
Loved that Hamptons home - the dark floors and simple decor were lovely!
Oh no, the poor little thing. When I was younger my asthma was terrible, and while it's still not great it's a lot better than it was. I highly recommend swimming. When I swim frequently I don't even need my preventatives - it's amazing!
I hope she's feeling better.
x Jasmine
