a piece of history

one of the trunks that carried all the cherished belongings of my great grandmothers family on their voyage to Canada many years ago is the newest piece in our bedroom. I love its patina, and wear. This gorgeous piece is staying just how it is. Some books were haphazardly dropped on it this weekend, and they have stayed as is all week. The casualness works for me!

Love, love, love this trunk!! and what cold be better then piece of furniture with your family history attached. Aren't you thankful that your great grandmother picked a fabulous trunk instead of what was on sale at the Target of the day? You are a lucky girl.

LOVE this! The trunk alone is beautiful, but the fact that it has family history makes it over the top amazing!! Love these kinds of pieces in a home
