what to do, what to do..

Post is completely unrelated to these gorgeous images from Patterson Maker...
Grandma ( babysitter + nanny extraordinaire ) is moving soon, ( just to a new house in the same very close to us neighborhood, phew! ) so she's taking a few days off to paint the house to get ready for move in. That means I'm off from work and the girls and I have 3 days to keep ourselves busy, or completely lounge around. Yes, there will be pajama parties ;)

brilliant I thought

My excuse to buy this gorgeous edition of Town & Country Weddings, is because Lori's planning a wedding. Never mind that I have gone through the mag cover to cover, oh, countless times. It is truly jammed full of goodness... ridiculous budget goodness, but whatever. We can be inspired right?! Anyway, came across BIRCHBOX. Every month a little box of generously sized luxe samples goes to the mailbox of your choosing. BRILLIANT! I thought. This would be such a cool wedding shower gift for Lori.. who wouldn't love a little indulgence every month for a year. Well.. it's not available to Canadian addresses. BOO, that's SO not fair. Why, why why?!! .

( Lor, if you're reading this.. sorry :( )

wedding goodness ( yes more! )

We are off tomorrow morning for the weekend & a friends wedding. Quite possibly the sweetest folks ever. ( sorry, not them pictured, although they are all pretty darn cute too ) Picked up a new lbd, and I just have to figure out some accessories. I like to switch up the look for the ceremony and reception. Do you do that?

wedding idea

I wanted to show this to Lori, who is loving the bright violet for her upcoming wedding next year.. notice the lips? How great would this color bridesmaid dress look with violet colored flowers? Gorgeous.

todays hint of pink is violet for Lori

Lori's planning a spring wedding. Location - Olds Ab. In the country. Maybe at a hall that we are hoping has a ton of potential. A vibrant purple is the jumping off color, and I wanted to pull together a little inspiration to get her thinking :)

Lor, I think the location is beyond perfect.. I think it could be pretty dreamy-

I am so sorry, my sources got mixed up, they are all here, just out of order-

A Napa wedding

When we visited Calistoga, CA one night while having dinner, a stunning bride happened through the room, her small and intimate wedding reception rooms away. I was completely taken by the natural look she had, hair loose and flowing, a simple + beautiful dress.. very true to the location. I happened to come across these photo's of a wedding also in Napa Valley and I am completely smitten.

To see the rest of the stunning photos and the sweet couple visit here-

Congratulations Kris + Kirstin.

wedding attire

I am a very organised person. Well, I used to be. Until my do everything at the last minute husband rubbed off on me. As you know, we are going to a wedding tomorrow. Last night I thought I should pick an outfit. I was originally going with the slim pant, cardigan..but didn't order the cardigan. So I am wearing a LBD from Club Monaco that is in my closet ( similar to what Gwenyth is wearing) - and I am going shoe shopping today. :)

wedding attire

So here's my initial thought for this upcoming wedding. Just so you know a bit about me.. I'm always the understated don't draw attention to myself for being overdone - I prefer to be the classic understated, and very comfortable one at an event.
The pants I have, add a pair of subtle leather open toe heels, and then I'm thinking add the simple fitted long cardigan + a fabulously chunky bracelet. Thoughts?
