fall must haves, with Jenna Lyons, J.Crew and Chatelaine

"a leopard print something"

I'd choose flats..cute!

"a chambray or denim shirt"

I have my eye out for a great denim shirt. This is a boys denim western shirt, maybe the 14 would fit?! It has the right amount of faded, yet substantial 'ness'

"a big oversized soft sweater"

I think this Nili Lotan cable knit fits the bill just perfectly..

"a pair of colored pants"

Oh please..I would adore these cropped wool trousers

This months Chatelaine magazine has a great write up about the beloved president and creative director of J. Crew. Two others on Jenna's must have list are a crisp pressed shirt and a longer skirt. I know I'll be adding the jean shirt, oversized sweater and maybe even a hint of leopard..and the colored cropped trousers are divine!

I am all about comfort-

When Rikshaw Designs Gold Kurta came back into stock, I quickly ordered one. After hearing how much my friend Paula liked hers, and my love for Lauren's duvet.. I knew I needed one of these tunics. Last week I threw it on with leggings, flats and a Madewell cardigan, ( it's been COLD here! ) and I loved it.. so perfect and comfortable-

oh, and a little sneak peak of me in my new reading glasses.. one part of the headache problem solved.. more on that later-

Happy Monday :)

velvet+flannel

I have quite simply fallen for the soft combination of grey and mauve. Anything that evokes cozy and I'm sold. I don't know about you, but all of a sudden I am finding it terribly hard to get dressed! In between summer and fall..in between temperatures ughh. Summer style looks to summery..and we're nowhere near ready for big sweaters yet. It's a struggle! I am drawn towards cooler colors and light layers. Grey has long been a favorite of mine. I have a feeling the flannel olive top will be making a little dent on my credit card :)
