I find myself just as crazy about crewcuts as I am about jcrew lately! Which would explain why I adored this post from the Alice Lane blog, taking the sweetest crewcut looks and pairing them with a great room. One of my favorites-

I am so in love with Alice Lane's designers aesthetics. The spaces can be soft, light and quiet with just the right doses of color. For me, it's sweet perfection.

I was just over at Alice Lane's blog and was thrilled to find this image which shows exactly what I want to achieve with furniture placement in our newly almost developed basement. We have chosen a narrow spot for a seating area, and I found a great comfy ikea love seat on kijiji for a steal. I'm thrilled with it because I want a slip covered, casual maybe shabby space. But I need to show my dear Kevin what I'm thinking - keep it simple, a small bench as a table and a console behind. We can have a sweet little space and devote the rest to the girls + their toys. After all, it is all about them!

Such a beautiful and inspiring shop. I was enamoured the last time we talked about them.. but now, oh, just look at the beautiful styling + products.

They have just announced a new blog, Alice Lane Home Blog which I discovered through 6th Street Design School ( a new to me blog that is sooo lovely, and she works there! ). So happy me, more beautiful pictures of a beautiful shop I am determined to visit one day.
