knock off art

I ended up doing a version of the black and white art that I was loving. I did it on a smaller scale, and made 2 of them. They are framed in gold frames I wasn't using, and I'm quite liking them. I'll have to get a shot of where they ended up-

supplies I had on hand.. kids Ikea roll of paper, black paint sample pot ( $1, home depot ) borrowed the girls paint brush and away I went

quick outline. ( Calleigh asked why I was painting squares, and why I didn't draw them properly ) While painting, I realised they look like my province.

dried and framed. I promise I'll show you where they are now..

remember the inspiration-

images, mine + house beautiful. ( I think we know which is which ;)

Great job Sarah- they looks fantastic!!! I love DIY art:) I did a black and white graphic painting as well and love it- I think the black and white abstracts add such oomph to a room and I'm excited to see yours in their new home:)

They came out great! I love the black & white. I'm trying to redo my office in those colors. If I only had wall space.

Great job!!! I honestly don't know why someone would pay for that inspiration piece when you can do it so easily yourself! Can't wait to see them up!

This turned out awesome!
I attempted a similar trick myself a few years back and now have peppered my home with black and white wall art. Fake art is so fun ; )
After all, it's real art now, you've made it so.

It's that easy! Thanks for the idea - we should all hang our own art! (and reproductions!) Well done!
