I'm working on a second desk space for myself. This one's in the newly finished basement. I have an overwhelming urge to be surrounded by controlled clutter -

I think there's nothing better than controlled clutter...I like that term! Minimalism is certainly not for me! Look forward to seeing the finished result.
Oh I love inspiration boards, I'm with you on the controlled clutter as I don't like stark, bare, cold spaces and if you have lots of items arranged nicely it creates a sense of place rather than just an empty space! Thats my theory anyway :) It's more homely, creative and personalised then.
