rustic table

I snapped this simple little photo as I was setting the table for 13 adults and 4 kids to join us for Thanksgiving Dinner yesterday. Brown kraft paper as a table runner, white dinnerware, my Mom's silver cutlery mixed in with our everyday, lots of glass as I added wine glasses, water cups, butter dishes and water jugs. Fresh Eucalyptus clippings down the table mixed with a pretty candle light glow. Mismatched chairs surrounded the table and were filled by amazing family & friends. Cooking with my bestie Ashlyn was so much fun ( the girl can cook! ) and our feast turned out incredibly.. I'm seriously looking forward to dishing up the left overs tonight!

design philosophy | providing a foundation to grow and alter through the years, I keep the core basic and layer in the current, creating a room that is innately yours. I believe great interiors are not found in one shop. I know you should feel a sense of calm in your space as well as balance, and revel in that gut feeling that it’s the right fit. See Sarah Swanson Design at the top left of this blog for details on getting the room you love through e design!
