three things | good news

#1 good news.. after what feels like ( oh wait, it was! ;) ) excruciating months of waiting for our new house to be built, we just found out our possession is May 15th.                                                                                                                                                                                                YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The good stuff is going to start going in now and I'll share all my favorite details with you :)

#2 good news.. we are planning a holiday. It's been 4 years.  YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I'm not at all excited. We're going with friends to spend 6 or 7 days in California. A few days in San Fran, a few in Napa and then we need a beach to go to for the last few days.. any suggestions?!

I'm kind of a dork in that I subscribe to Travel + Leisure magazine because it's actually a really good read, and now there are lots of good tips..

Last time hubs and I went to Napa we went to Calistoga and stayed at Solage. It was unreal. Now we need somewhere new and fabulous to try :)

and #3 good news.. On Monday I will be hanging out with Style at Home editor in chief Erin McLaughlin and photographer extraordinaire Tracey Ayton. Having this house in Style at Home is totally a dream come true, but it's also a way cool way to leave this house and have the memories + photo's of it forever!

I have a whole bunch of goodness to add to #thrifted for you.. hopefully in the next day or two!

design philosophy | providing a foundation to grow and alter through the years, I keep the core basic and layer in the current, creating a room that is innately yours. I believe great interiors are not found in one shop. I know you should feel a sense of calm in your space as well as balance, and revel in that gut feeling that it’s the right fit. DESIGN SERVICES start at only 10.00. See Sarah Swanson Design at the top left of this blog!

Wow, wow, wow! that is a whole lot to be excited about! so much fun once the tapping begins, isn't it?! I can't wait to follow along. Very fun about the trip! I'm going to CA next month to visit my sister...solo! I'm totally nervous and slightly terrified, but excited too, it will be fun. Congrats on the Style At Home feature! That's awesome!

love hearing all the great news and plans! i live in san francisco and happy to recommend restaurants and such. for beaches, there's a spot about 4 hours south of SF called Morro Bay and has the most beautiful blue/green water. we drove through there last year and i've been dying to stay - looks gorgeous! anyway - feel free to pick my brain about the SF region if you'd like :)

Please check out El Dorado in Sonoma, right on the square. The best vacation we've ever taken. Love small, boutique hotels and this was perfect. Have a GREAT time!! That's my favorite place to visit!!
