4.28.2012 oh.

I'm so sad. Yesterday we unexpectedly and suddenly lost my Dad. My heart is aching. It's been the hardest 3 days I've ever lived through. I feel so overwhelmed with emotion and disbelief that my Dad is gone and not coming back. I loved him so much, and I hope he knew I felt, and that I appreciated every thing he's ever helped me with, taught me to do..oh, I wish I had a chance to tell him. He was at work and had an aneurysm burst in his brain. The doctors think it was probably there his whole life. No one knew. I want him back. My Calleigh has an easter egg for him that he teased her for, he was supposed to be here right now building our new back yard with us. Now I don't want to do it, because I wanted us to do it together. Oh my god, how do I make this hurt stop?

Oh Sarah :{ I am so sorry to read of your very sad news. I lost my father quite suddenly when I was 16 years old and whilst it was an extremely hard time for me and my family, I can promise you that with time, the pain does ease and it will get easier day by day. Hold on to your little ones, I'm sure they will give you all the strength you need to get through this tough time. Thinking of you... Son x

Sarah, I hear your sadness and ache - I'm so, so sorry. It seems so unfair to have him be there one day and gone so suddenly the next. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

So sorry! Only time will lesson the pain. My first husband lost his Dad to the same thing. They had a disagreement before that happened, and he never could forgive himself. He has managed to deal with it now, it has been over 10 years. Good luck to you!

Sarah...I am hurting for you and your family. I lost my Dad when I was 40 very unexpectedly from a heart attack. It rocked my world. I seriously thought I would never get over it. Please know you are in my thoughts....and I hope and pray that you will find some peace in the coming weeks. I know I speak for everyone...that I wish there were words to help.

I've been reading you blog for a while now, but never really felt the need to comment.

I'm very sorry about the loss of your precious & beloved father. No one will ever love you the way he did, and that makes the ache so much harder. My mother, who was my best friend, died unexpectedly in a car accident nearly 5 years ago when I was 21. I know the pain and anguish you feel.

You won't ever forget him and you won't ever "get over" his unexpected death, but life does go on and you eventually learn to live with the grief. Right now it's going to hurt. Your heart is going to hurt. But that's just the beginning, eventually the pain will dull and from time to time you'll forget it's even there.

If you believe in heaven or the afterlife, then take comfort in knowing you will see him again, when the time comes...I'm still waiting to see my mom.

My thoughts are with you & your family.

Sarah, I am so sad for you. I lost my sweet brother unexpectedly and I know the shock and disbelief that you are going through. All I can say is cry when you want to, be sad, be angry...it's ok. And time does heal, it wont make it go away but You will feel peace and happiness. My thoughts are with you. Hugs.

Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss. It hurts to read the pain in your words. I too lost my father unexpectedly when I was 17. I used to cringe when people would tell me that time heals all wounds because I could not imagine the pain ever going away. So many years have passed and I can tell you now that thankfully it does become easier. Thinking of you and your family.
