requesting your company..

I have some research to do ( yay, so FUN! ) for Lori's upcoming wedding. I told her I would gather some ideas for wedding invitations, and when I found out my friend Ashly is launching some ready made invites this spring, I knew I had to nudge Lori in her direction. Ashley's work is div.ine.

Idea 1- invites, Lemon and Lavender

Next up, ideas for favors. I need something 'Lori'... she always makes yummy cakes to celebrate birthdays and special occasions, these little bundt cakes are gorgeous all boxed up with a custom sticker.

idea 2- DIY cakes from Style Me Pretty

I'll pop over to Martha Stewart Living to check out her favors too, is there anything you've thought was a brilliant favor? I ( me and Lori! ) would love to know!

AND I'm wondering your thoughts on save the date cards? Need or extra expense?

Save the dates are great if there are a lot if out of town guest, if it us a destination wedding, or if it is on a long weekend.
I had them for our wedding since we got married in the States. Included was the dates of the events forfeit weekend, average temp to help for packing, hotel and flight info along with the discount codes, and links to fun things in the area.
Have fun helping her plan!! xo

How fun for you. I'm not sure about the save the date cards but I would love to come home from a wedding with a little cake all my own and that mini bundt is adorable!

I LOVE wedding stuff!!! I had little sugar cookies that were stacked up to look like a three tiered cake. I think it was a Martha Stewart idea. Everyone went nuts over those! My friend has created a completely custom and unique save the date card for her friend...http://jessicaraebailey.blogspot.com/ I thought it was really fun looking.
Have fun with all the ideas! I hope you share what you find!

The little cakes are adorable! I'm not really a save the date fan. I think they are a little pushy - I figure if people really want to come to an event the month notice is great and others who are close to you will ask you when you big day is. Hope you are doing well! Happy New Year!

Extra expense on those cards! The way I see it, people just end up throwing them away. Save the money for the honeymoon or a new house!

Happy Thursday Dear!

Oh, and have entered my EmersonMade GIVEAWAY yet?

Those little cakes are perfect! I would love getting one of those at a wedding! For save the dates, I think it depends on your guest list. I actually think they're a waste of money if most your guests are local. If they're out of state though, save the dates can really help people plan for travel, especially when booking a plane ticket.

Love the ideas!
We had save the date cards as we we live & were getting married in the country (400km - not sure what that is in miles - for most people to travel).
I also sent along with the S.T.D. cards a list of suggested accommodation places just to help out as our wedding was on a long weekend and our town gets fully booked.

Weddings are just too fun--especially the planning. I can't wait to see how it all comes together and what you decide on in the end.
