no more double doubles for me

I adore my Tim's double double.. but since finding out last month that I am lactose intolerant ( so out of the blue at 33! ) I can no longer have them. I inquired with the staff of my local shop, and they don't stock any milk alternatives, no soy, no lactaid. I was so disappointed that I headed right over to the Tim Horton's website and gave them a little suggestion. ( so unlike me ) I know I'm not the only one who would like to enjoy their coffee without bringing a sippy cup of lactaid with them from home :) I don't think it's too much to ask, do you?
And we do visit starbucks more now... I just love Tims!

I love my double double too! And I absolutely agree that this is unacceptable.

Of course not! I do know that starbucks always has soy milk and such if you would like to go there. Good luck on everything though! :)

Sarah I think that vendors should want to hear suggestions. I love soy milk and you are right, it cannot even now be found everywhere!

I have a Luxurious New Giveaway on my site....Come and enter!!

We don't have Tims in Aus (I don't think) but I'm not sure how I'd cope if I was lactose intolerant. How odd for it to come apparent at 33. Hope you are having a nice weekend :)

I remember how hard it was for me at 37 to find out I had become Lactose Intolerant! It has been a learning curve ever since. With time I can tolerate more - like yogurt, cottage cheese, cheddar cheeses, and once in a very long while some cream cheese (yay for cheese cake) and a very small dollop of sour cream on a baked potato!! By the way did you know they use milk as a filler for weiners? Gotta watch those labels!
As for my coffee - I do miss having cream, but I carry a itsy bitsy tupperware container in my purse with powder creamer (or keep what small packets I can collect from hotel stays!) Just remember to always ask for a stir stick with your coffee!

Surely they will take your suggestion. I totally agree that they should have dairy alternatives, a lot of people are intolerant. I use blue diamond vanilla unsweeted almond milk in my cereal and oatmeal instead of cow's milk. Have a great weekend!

I have the same problem with Tim's (except I'm vegan, not lactose intolerant.) It would be so great if they offered soy milk.

Come'on Tim Hortons, I love ya but would a little soy/lactaid be so hard? I also hate how they don't offer cup sleeves - double cupping is so wasteful!

Tim oh Tim. That place makes me chuckle! If you asked anyone in England they'd have probably NEVER heard of Tim but it bring back fond memories from my trips to Canada. They have SOOOO many of them there it blew my mind. And i liked their donut bits. Ditch the coffee and just eat the donuts!!
