moody blues

I have fallen for the work of design firm Mabley Handler. Crafted of the very talented duo Jennifer Mabley + Austin Handler, there aesthetic is classic, timeless and so serene. Elements of there spaces capture details that I love. A glimpse at some of their work will leave you loving them too -

soft blues, creamy whites and delicate details-

trim work, with a subtle wall color, washed out woods, fabulous lighting + round mirrors-

nail head trim, hurricanes and trays-

coffered ceilings, sectionals, and silver nesting tables-

look at the desk.. and the chair!

hotel bedding, gorgeous lighting, bamboo chair, oh and the wallpaper-

I love the mix and the subtle details that make all of these rooms gorgeous-

Ohhh what a lovely subtle palette---I just adore blues! So neat you're in Calgary. One of my dear friends from San Francisco lived there most the year! I've always wanted to visit! xo katie

these are really beautiful! usually im attracted to more reds, burnt oranges, ...warmer tones,
but lately i have really been appreciating more of the blues. and whites, a cleaner cooler feel.

Thanks for the post and all of the great comments :)

Zhush - A lot of people ask us what we call our style, and we've come up with a few things that try to put it into words: New Hamptons, Modern Beach, and Beach Chic. Hope that helps!

Sketch 42 - Good eye, we love Oly.

Ana - That wallpaper is made by Studio Print Works, the pattern is called Edo Pines, color is Robin Egg light blue:
http://www.studioprintworks.com/files/wallpaper-detail.php?wallId=40

Jordana - The artist of that painting is Dana Volkert...She is based in Middleburg, Virgina, and shows in galleries in Washington D.C. and New York City.

That painting was from one of her older collections, which is why it doesn't appear on either of the above websites.

And finally, Sarah...Thanks again so much for the feature! Make sure you check out our Hamptons Design Blog: http://www.designingthehamptons.com
