change your life in 30 days..?! Ya right. I'm such a disbeliever in this stuff, usually. This year I'm looking at my life a little differently. Admittedly, I haven't made a conscience effort to take care of myself, for the last 5 years it's been kids first. Now it's time for me. If I am going to rid my life of chronic migraines, I have to do something. Little changes in diet, exercise and thoughts will help me. ( I've been through education sessions, a session with an occupational therapist, doctors, scans and medication since our last
headache chat! )So when I came across this change your life in 30 days, I actually read it. And now it's up in the kitchen, because I plan to follow it day by day, for the next 30 days. They are really easy challenges and they make you aware of the little stuff that can help you.

Day one Sunday was easy, eating fresh unprocessed food. Yum. Today, making plans for the weekend, to do's and want to do's-
Day three, being grateful. Gentle reminders to do what's right. I'm glad I read along with this one..
I just discovered you blog & loved it. I'm an interior designer from Melbourne, Australia & I found it very inspiring. Blogging is all new to me but I have just set up my own blog

You may like to check it out because I had so much fun doing it. It's got a bit of everything fashion, interiors, food, travel spots - hopefully you will find something in there that you like.

ah I thrive on these sort of things! :))
ReplyDeletethat is a fantastic list, thanks! I hope you figure out the migraine source - i suffered with them for over two years before realizing I was hypoglycemic. The brain lives on sugar... It's really debilitating to suffer headaches every day - thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very interesting...and tempting! Thanks for sharing and keep us posted.

I'd like to read it, will do so. I stopped eating processed (or what my husband and I call food "products") a few years ago and I could never go back. Real food is so wonderful. I also think appreciation is a big one, it really can make a big change. Hope those headaches become a thing of the past for you.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! i could use a bit of a kick in the pants...I'm going to check it out...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI could definitely use some motivation - will check this out. And hope your migrains improve- I suffered from daily headaches for months after I had my daughter and it was awful. Definitely crossing my fingers that this helps. xo

ReplyDeleteOhhh I'm so excited to check this out, I live for self improvement things like this :) I was a big migraine sufferer & I started working with a reflexologist (sic) who helped me a lot! A combination of eating the right things, posture (who would have thought) and breathing right has helped sig!! Best of luck & feel good!
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I'll have to check out that link. Last year, the husband and I made a conscious decision to change how we eat. We aren't crazies but we removed all the processed food and sodas from our diet. With that said, we do have the occassional fast food dinner (yum, chik-fil-a) and soda but they are few and far between. I applaud you for taking this step.
ReplyDeleteAlso -- I used to get terrible migraines. With the life style change, it has helped so much. I can't even tell you the last time I had a migraine. I do yoga; I don't run anymore. That was a huge change for me but I saw a difference in how my head felt immediately. A good friend eliminated gluten from her diet and she's been migraine free for a year. Everyone will tell you all sorts of things, so do what works for you.
