a bit rustic


again with the island replaced by a table. Can't you imagine a rustic, family style, food on platters, every one help yourself with lots of wine, get together at this table? :)
I will admit that seeing this ( while these lights are far more fabulous than mine ) it reassured my decision.

    I just watched Julie & Julia and I LOVED that she has a table instead of an island. My mom has this, too, and there is something communal about sitting together and chopping potatoes.

    I agree! The kitchen is always the perfect place for gathering and a kitchen table is the perfect place to do it at!

    Love the floor and charcoal windows- very pretty. I really wanted to move my table to where the island is but I don't think I have enough space:( Love the look though.

    I do love the look, but I have too much crap and I need the storage, LOL! All of the imaged of black windows that you have been posting are reaffirming my decision for the new house. Now if I can just decide on the exterior color. :/

    I love that table in the middle instead of an island! I wish my kitchen was big enough for that! I love those floors too!

    it is in my head that someday i will have a house with a big farmhouse table in the kitchen like this. it is where every meal, including thanksgiving and christmas, will be eaten. i have the table now. just not the kitchen design.
