a little shabby
By now you know how much I adore a mix of old and new. It adds so much character and personality. In our basement, the white washed flooring is going in on Saturday and I'm thinking with the slip covered sofa we bought ( pictured last ) I want a little bit of shabby chic injected into the space-

Sarah your basement is going to look stunning. I love slip covered sofas. They just ooze charm and practical makes it all the more desirable. I'm with you on the kitchen. I long for a kitchen that has no kitchen island but a large well loved farm style table. While I'm at it dreaming, how about throw in a bouquet of Peonies or Sweet Peas for the center piece! Sat. will be a great day for you!

ReplyDeleteIt's going to be great. I cannot wait for the "after" pictures! Maybe it will give me the necessary inspiration to get off my but and finish my lower level. It's done and ready to go I just need to pull together the accumulated pieces. Good stuff! xo

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I have that sofa from Ikea and love it. I was sitting here just now thinking I really should wash it. I have the floral cover on at the moment but have white/cream as well (with brown paw prints often).

White in the basement - couldn't think of anything better! I thought I wasn't much of a shabby chic girl, but after seeing it used so well in all the bloggy homes, I'm unable to resist. Look forward to seeing your room..Rachaelxx
