How I use $10 art

It's all over my house! I think my favorite part is that I can easily switch it out if I want to try something new.. which is exactly why I made them so affordable for you. Well, one of two reasons.. I know filling frames and gallery walls gets expensive, that's the other reason I wanted to give you original, unique and graphic pieces for $10! I just added 13 new pieces to the shop! How incredible are these walls + floors! Love the great scale of the mirror-

GALLERY WALL at Sherri Cassara Designs

Can I just say WOW?! It is SO exciting for me to see my GALLERY WALL pieces in your homes. This GORGEOUS vignette is in the home of Sherri from Sherri Cassara Designs. I am positively smitten. Thank you Sherri for sharing! x

[project] turning an unused closet into a great workspace

When we moved into this house, we took our unused back door closet and added shelving..it was the perfect place to store all the girls toys, everything had a home. The basement has been finished with a playroom for them for about a year and a half..so we've had a closet filled with, well, random stuff. Pointless..

So out came the shelves, I filled holes, sanded and painted. We bought kitchen cabinets and a counter top from IKEA, and turned an unused space into..

a workspace! It's just off the kitchen, has a ton of storage in the cabinets for all my paper products, paints and inspiration files. I added the gold knobs ( $2.00 from Home Depot, I used them on this project too )

I painted a new piece, that I'm thinking about adding similar to GALLERY WALL.. what do you think?!

I've heard fiddle leaf fig plants can be temperamental..but I'm going to try my luck-

We did the whole project in one day.. well, we actually did two of them, hubs has the same workspace downstairs now.

It makes me so happy to add more usable space to our not very big house..

I think I'll be spending just a bit of time here... x

an [instagram] peek..

I almost did a happy dance standing in my favorite bookstore INDIGO, and seeing my house amongst all the home mags.. surreal :)

K and I were able to sneak away for a three day break to the Mountains with no kiddos, it's been three years since we've had a holiday..

We stayed in Banff, and drove up to Lake Louise to go skating on the lake and to have lunch at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise..I was admiring the ceilings..

Back in Banff a stroll around town, and a visit to The Hudsons Bay Company feels so authentically Canadian while in the Rocky Mountains! Loved the window..

ahh, wine, quiet time and alone time ( of course I was blogging ;)

My Calleigh got glasses this month-

we visited grams and grandad in Red Deer and did a little shopping-

We installed my moms GALLERY WALL piece in her home.. I love this vignette-

and while we were there Mom pulled out our wedding picture..we look like such babies!! ( 9 years ago )

and C wanted to take my picture while we stopped to get coffee for the drive home..

new little owls from HM are in the girls rooms..

too cute

a stop at Indigo, my favorite little note pads are $1, I stocked up!

Admiring this gorgeous grey fabric with the pink agate slice I picked up in the mountains-

and today I picked up a new plant.. love :)
